Unique Grotesque Fish Spoon Warmer 1882
By Robert Wallace a Salt glazed stoneware, modeled after an imaginary creature resembling a fish with a gaping mouth, The scaly creature colored in dark tones of green and brown with its offset white eyes, its tail curled up over its back, its two pectoral fins forming stubby feet and its mouth gaping wide in a grimace, 7 in ( 17.75 cm ) long x 4 1/2 in high (11.4 cm).
The rear left side of its body with an inscribed plaquete that reads:
Martin, London & Southall, 4.9.1882
